Glowing: Cape May's Stained Glass

April 30-November 7, 2010

The Carriage House Gallery will host one of our most beautiful exhibits ever  -- Glowing : Cape May's Stained Glass, guest curated by Cape May's own stained glass expert, Dottie Rogers. The exhibit will feature full color photographs of richly colored 19th century windows in Cape May. It will show the tools of the stained-glass trade and samples of the intensely colored glass that was used. We'll also show the uplifting story of the restoration of church windows in Cape May. Large, glowing reproductions of stained glass, real historic stained glass windows, and jewel like samples are sure to delight.

LECTURE

Donald Samick, president of Lamb Studios, will present a lecture on how a stained glass window is made.  Samick's company restored the stained glass at the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May.
